An evening with Dave Fidler and Friends

Join us on Day 3 of the Stockport Old Town Folk Festival for an evening of contemporary folk music with Dave Fidler and Friends.

Dave Fidler is an acclaimed singer-songwriter who cites Fleetwood Mac, Bob Dylan and finger style players like Bert Jansch and Tommy Emmanuel as his big influences. Dave has toured the UK playing with John Bramwell from I Am Kloot and recorded his debut album ‘Im Not Here’ to great reviews.

Dave will be joined by Jo Dudderidge from The Travelling Band whose first studio album ‘Under The Pavement’ was released in 2008 to receive critical acclaim from the UK media with a featured song in the Ian Dury biopic ‘Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll’. The band also won the Glastonbury Festival 2008 New Talent award.

Also performing will be Mano McLaughlin who has just been chosen by Guy Garvey to play at this year’s Meltdown festival at London’s Southbank Centre alongside Robert Plant and Laura Marling.
